    A lower GLP-1 dose

Semaglutide or tirzepatide, below the standard weight loss dose.

  2. 2

    Plus a boost

Illustrative only. Your provider sets and adjusts your dose. Microdosing is newer and less studied than full-dose GLP-1 therapy, and results are typically more gradual.

Microdose or
full dose?

Both are real GLP-1 treatment. A full dose aims for maximum results. A microdose trades some speed for a gentler ramp and built-in support.

What is GLP-1 microdosing?
Microdosing means taking a lower dose of a GLP-1 medication, like semaglutide or tirzepatide, than the standard weight loss dose. At Tides, each microdose is combined with a supporting nutrient (NAD+ and B12, a B-complex, or L-Carnitine) in one weekly injection.
Is microdosing as effective as a full dose?
Not usually for total weight loss. In clinical trials, higher GLP-1 doses produced more weight loss than lower ones. Microdosing is a gentler approach: a lower dose, typically fewer or milder side effects, and a more gradual pace. It is also newer and less studied than full-dose therapy. Your provider will help you decide which fits your goals.
Which boost should I choose?
Pick NAD+ + B12 if low energy is your main concern, the B-Complex (MIC) if you want metabolic and liver support, or L-Carnitine if you are active and want to support fat metabolism. Not sure? Your provider can recommend one.
Semaglutide or tirzepatide as my base?
Semaglutide is the most-studied GLP-1 and a common place to start. Tirzepatide also acts on a second hormone, GIP, for a stronger effect. Your provider will help you choose based on your history and goals.
What are the side effects?
Side effects are similar to full-dose GLP-1 therapy but often milder at a lower dose. The most common are nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and reduced appetite. Your provider monitors you and adjusts as needed.
Is this medication FDA-approved?
No. Tides microdose injections are compounded by a licensed US pharmacy based on your individual prescription. Compounded GLP-1 combinations are not FDA-approved finished drug products. They are prescribed by a licensed provider based on your health profile.
Who should not take a GLP-1?
GLP-1 medications are not right for people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2, a history of pancreatitis, or who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy. Your licensed provider reviews your full health history before prescribing.
Can I move to a full dose later?
Yes. If you want faster or bigger results, your provider can move you to a standard semaglutide or tirzepatide protocol. Some people also use microdosing to maintain after a full-dose program.
How much does it cost?
Every microdose combination starts at $179/month. The provider consult, prescription, and shipping are included, and you can cancel anytime before your next billing cycle.
